Hello, and thank you for visiting my site. I am Jordan Whitley, an actor based in Atlanta, Ga. Acting as a career didn’t enter my thoughts until relatively later in my life. When I was in elementary school I wanted to save the day as a soldier, in middle school to play in the NFL, and in high school I was torn between lawyer, biologist, and powerlifter. Needless to say, when I arrived at college I was lost at sea. All I knew is that I wanted to do something I could be proud of and to serve a purpose far greater than myself. As fate would have it, this was around the time I started to pay more attention to the films I was watching. During this process I became entranced by what the actor did and how on earth they managed to do it. Two of the many films that captivated me in this period of my life were Taxi Driver and There Will Be Blood. So, in the spring of 2017 I decided to audition for the college plays, and I had no clue what I was doing. But, as luck would have it, I got a callback, was cast, and thrust into rehearsal shortly after. Little by little the mystery of acting, though never solved, pulled me in and enveloped me. While I may still feel lost at sea it is something I’ve grown to relish. Currently I am taking an acting class at The Alliance Theatre on the Meisner Technique, auditioning through Actor’s Access, and my most recent role was in a production of Gloria by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins at Merrily Players Presents.
